Two Version, WIFI & 4G for Optional
WIFI version:
1. Need to use wifi network to connect the device. Only supports 2.4GHz, does not support 5GGHz WIFI. 4G SIM card is not supported.
2. There is no need to connect the power cord, and there is no need to arrange the network cable.
3. IP wifi security solar outdoor camera is powered by solar panel, built-in battery to save power, energy saving and environmental
protection, can be installed in any place (requires Wifi network), such as garden, doorstep, garage, etc.
4G version:
1. Our camera only uses 4G SIM card and does not support connecting to 3G/GSM/home WiFi. No need for network LAN cable,
no need to set up wifi, no need to connect power wires.
2. The camera is mainly used in an environment without a network, without power supply, but with a SIM card mobile signal,
and in a sunny place. You need to put the SIM card into the camera and connect to the network through the SIM card.
3. The solar camera does not support connecting to the router to access the Internet.

1. What is the difference between the WiFi and 4G versions?
WiFi version connects to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (no 5GHz) and does not accept a SIM card. 4G version uses a 4G SIM card for internet connection (does not support 3G/GSM or connecting to home WiFi/router). Both are solar & battery powered and share the same camera features.
2. Does this camera support 5GHz WiFi?
No. The WiFi version only supports 2.4GHz networks (802.11 b/g/n) and does not support 5GHz WiFi.
3. Can I insert a SIM card into the WiFi version?
No. The WiFi model does not support SIM cards. Only the 4G model accepts a 4G SIM for mobile data.
4. Can the 4G version connect to my home WiFi or router?
No. The 4G version is designed to use a 4G SIM only and does not connect to home WiFi or a router.
5. How is the camera powered and do I need wiring?
The camera uses dual power: rechargeable 18650 batteries (up to 6 cells) and a monocrystalline solar panel (8W). It is plug-and-play with 100% wireless installation—no power wiring required.
6. How long does the battery last / what is standby time?
Using low-power technology, standby can be up to 180 days under ideal conditions. Actual battery life depends on motion activity, recording frequency, app settings, and solar charging availability.
7. Is the camera weatherproof for outdoor use?
Yes. The housing is IP66 rated (dust-tight and protected against strong water jets), suitable for outdoor installation.
8. What video resolutions and formats does the camera support?
The camera supports FHD 2MP or 4MP resolution and uses H.265+/H.264+ video compression for low bitrate and efficient storage.
9. Does the camera have PTZ (pan/tilt) functionality?
Yes. It supports pan and tilt rotation for broad coverage (360-degree area surveillance when panning), allowing remote control through the app.
10. How does night vision work? Is it color at night?
The camera has dual light modes: IR night vision (black & white) for complete darkness, and smart warm LEDs for full-color night vision (up to ~30 meters) that can be set to activate automatically via the app.

13. Does the camera support two-way audio and remote access?
Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way talk. Remote access is available via the UBox app on iOS and Android, with support for multiple users.
14. Which app should I use and which platforms are supported?
Use the UBox app, which supports iOS and Android smartphones for live view, PTZ control, playback, alerts, and settings.
15. Will the solar panel charge the camera in low-light or shaded locations?
Solar charging performance depends on sunlight. In low-light or heavily shaded areas charging will be reduced and battery-only operation will drain faster. For reliable long-term use place the solar panel in a sunny location or ensure periodic manual charging if needed.
