A brite beer (brite/bright) fermentation tank with a conical bottom and a dimpled jacket for temperature control. It is a sanitary stainless steel vessel used for conditioning, clarifying, carbonating and storing beer (and other beverages) after primary fermentation.
Tanks are fully customizable. Typical ranges cover pilot to production scales — from about 10 L up to 30,000 L (or larger on request). We supply standard sizes (BBL/L) and custom dimensions to match your brewery layout and throughput.
Inner and outer shells are available in stainless steel SS304 or the higher corrosion-resistant SS316L. All wetted surfaces use food-grade stainless steel with sanitary mirror polish inside and out.
A dimple jacket consists of a thin stainless jacket spot-welded to the tank shell creating small pressure pockets (dimples). Coolant (glycol/water/ice water) circulates through the jacket to rapidly and evenly remove heat from the beer. Cooling options include chilled water/glycol or ice water.
Cooling: chilled water, glycol, or ice water through the dimple jacket. Heating: electric heater or steam heating in the jacket or dedicated heating coil. Systems can be combined to provide precise temperature control.
Standard design covers vacuum conditions up to positive pressures (design up to around 1 MPa for heavy-duty variants). Working pressure and safety features are specified per model — please confirm required working pressure so we can supply the correct design and certification.
Common conical angles include 60° or 90° (other angles available). A conical bottom collects trub and yeast for easy removal and CIP drainage, enabling yeast harvesting and efficient cleaning.
Yes. Standard and optional fittings include quick-open manways/pressure manholes, various CIP spray balls/cleaners, sanitary inlet/outlet valves, sterile respirator (breather), liquid level meters and level controllers, thermometers, and sanitary tri-clamp connections.
Agitators are optional. Available types include none, low-speed mixers (typically 0–200 RPM) for gentle recirculation and high-speed mixers (specifiable ranges) for blending. Specify application so we can recommend the proper agitator and drive.
Yes. These sanitary tanks are suitable for beer, wine (including sparkling), cider, juice, dairy products, spirits, pharma and biotech applications. Materials, surface finish and testing will be matched to the intended product.
We can supply manual, semi-automatic or full PLC control systems to monitor and control temperature, agitation, pressure and CIP cycles. PLC/HMI systems can be customized to your process and integrated with your brewery control network.
Tanks are manufactured to sanitary industry practice with ISO/DIN sanitary piping and food-grade finishes. Certifications such as CE, ASME or PED can be provided depending on order, design pressure and destination — please request specific certificates when ordering.
Yes. We offer single-layer (uninsulated), double-layer (inner + jacket) and three-layer (inner + jacket + insulation) constructions. Insulation choices and outer cladding are customizable to reduce heat loss and condensation.
Deliverables typically include the tank with specified fittings, documentation, and basic manuals. Lead time depends on size and customization (typically several weeks; exact ETA quoted per order). Installation, commissioning, spare parts and after-sales service are available — please ask for a quotation including these services.
