The DX68 SCOTE is a heavy-duty hydraulic hose crimping machine designed for professional use. It delivers precise, consistent crimps for hydraulic, automotive and industrial hoses using a robust hydraulic system and comes in 3 kW / 4 kW power options.
The machine accommodates hose sizes from 1/4" to 2" (4SP), which corresponds to approximately φ6 mm–φ51 mm. It is built for high-pressure rubber hose assemblies (4SP and similar types).
Models are available with 3 kW or 4 kW motors and can be supplied for 220 V or 380 V electrical systems (specify required voltage when ordering).
The DX68 includes 10 die sets. Typical die sizes supplied include 17, 20, 23, 27, 31, 36, 41, 47, 53 and 63 mm. Module sizes covered are φ6, φ8, φ10, φ13, φ16, φ19, φ22, φ25, φ32, φ38 and φ51 (use the die set appropriate to your hose/shell size).
Rated pressure is 31.5 MPa, working pressure about 28.5 MPa, and the machine can deliver a maximum crimping force of 409 T (tons) for heavy-duty crimping tasks.
Crimping accuracy (ruling precision) is approximately 0.02 mm. Production capability is up to roughly 850 strokes per hour depending on operation and hose preparation.
Overall dimensions are 810 × 530 × 790 mm (L × W × H). Net weight is around 200–220 kg depending on configuration.
The DX68 is built to ISO9001 standards and comes with a 12-month warranty. Quality control and manufacturing follow established ISO processes.
Machines are packed in wooden cases for export. Typical delivery is within 10 days after receipt of deposit, subject to order confirmation and stock.
Typical operation: 1) Manually or with a stripper remove the rubber skin; 2) Install the metal hose shell; 3) Insert the iron core into the hose bore; 4) Use the machine to block-shrink so the metal shell and iron core combine closely; 5) Select the correct die and perform the crimp. Always confirm die selection and shrink amount before full crimp.
Shrink amount depends on shell size. Example given: if the metal shell outer diameter is φ46, the machine should shrink it about 0.4–0.5 mm, resulting in a final recommended size around φ42–φ41. Always verify with your specific shell/hose manufacturer recommendations.
Keep hydraulic oil clean and at recommended levels, regularly inspect dies for wear and damage, check hydraulic hoses/connections for leaks, keep guide surfaces clean and lightly lubricated, and follow scheduled oil/service intervals. Replace hydraulic oil and filters per usage hours or yearly if heavy use.
Wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, gloves), ensure machine is earthed and power isolated before maintenance, verify correct die seating and hose positioning before crimping, never exceed rated pressure, keep hands clear of the crimp zone, and follow lockout/tagout procedures during repairs.
It is ideal for automotive hose assemblies, hydraulic systems, industrial high-pressure hose assemblies, and construction / heavy equipment hose crimping where durable, high-pressure connections are required.
After-sales support includes online assistance and video technical support (available even after the warranty period). The machine ships with 10 dies; additional dies, spare parts and consumables can be supplied—contact your SCOTE representative or distributor to order spares or request remote technical help.
