This is a non-contact infrared thermometer for measuring human body temperature (forehead) and surface/object temperatures (e.g., bath water, milk). It offers dual modes (Body and Object), a built-in laser pointer, LCD backlight, and data-hold functionality.
Press and hold the MODE button for more than 5 seconds to toggle temperature units between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
Measurement distance range is 1–15 cm, with optimal accuracy when held within about 5 cm of the forehead or surface.
In Body mode the backlight indicates: red for temperatures below 32°C (LO), green for normal (32.0–37.3°C), yellow for slightly elevated (37.3°C up to the alarm point), and flashing red with an alarm for readings above the alarm point.
The default alarm temperature is 38.0°C (100.4°F). The alarm set point is customizable; the device also has an optional buzzer that can be turned on or off.
Specified accuracy is ±0.2°C under ideal conditions. Environmental factors can increase error (up to about ±0.6°C). Accuracy depends on measurement distance, ambient temperature, sweating, recent exercise, and proper use.
The thermometer stores the last 32 measurements for tracking and review.
Aim at the center of the forehead from 1–15 cm (ideally within 5 cm), ensure the forehead is dry and free from hair or hats, avoid measuring immediately after exercise or exposure to extreme temperatures, and wait a few minutes if the person has moved between different environments.
Switch to Object mode, aim at the liquid or surface from 1–15 cm, measure the surface (stir liquids first to equalize temperature), avoid steam or splashing, and ensure the laser pointer targets the intended spot.
The thermometer automatically holds the measured value on the display after each reading so you can record it. The display will remain until the next measurement or until the unit auto-powers off.
The unit uses 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). It features auto power-off after 7 seconds to conserve battery. Actual battery life depends on usage and battery quality.
Yes. The device includes an F2 calibration function to adjust temperature deviation (default 0). Use the calibration feature according to the instructions; contact support if you need guidance or if calibration doesn't correct the issue.
Operating temperature: 10–40°C (50–104°F). Storage temperature: 0–50°C (32–122°F). Operating humidity should be ≤85% relative humidity.
Wipe the housing with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Clean the infrared lens gently with a soft, dry cloth or cotton swab — do not use solvents or immerse the unit in water. Remove batteries if storing long-term.
Ensure proper distance (1–15 cm), clean the lens, measure a dry, uncovered forehead away from direct sunlight or drafts, wait after exercise or eating, replace weak batteries, try surface calibration (F2), and compare with a clinical thermometer if needed. If problems persist, contact customer support.
