The X6436 is a medium/ small universal rotary-head milling machine with a swivel/rotary head that can perform both vertical and horizontal milling. It is designed for machining small parts, mold shells and a variety of planes, grooves and holes used in mechanical manufacturing, molds, instruments, automotive and motorcycle industries.
It provides both vertical and horizontal milling functions via two rotary milling heads. Each spindle can be rotated and adjusted to any angle (360° swivel) to suit different machining orientations.
Key differences: table size (X6432: 1500×320 mm; X6436: 1500×360 mm), table Z travel (X6432 Z=400 mm; X6436 Z=450 mm), T-slot configuration (X6432: 3-16-60 mm; X6436: 3-18-80 mm), spindle taper (X6432: ISO40 for vertical & horizontal; X6436: ISO40 vertical, ISO50 horizontal), spindle motor power (X6432 ~3 kW; X6436 ~4 kW), weight (X6432 ~2100 kg; X6436 ~2580 kg) and overall dimensions (X6432: 2050×1750×2000 mm; X6436: 2550×2050×2050 mm).
The X6436 supports ISO40 spindle taper in vertical orientation and ISO50 in horizontal orientation (per specification). It accepts cylindrical milling cutters, disc cutters, form cutters, end mills and can accept tools via direct mounting or appropriate attachments.
Spindle speed ranges are approximately 48–1660 rpm in vertical mode and 40–1300 rpm in horizontal mode. Table feed rates for X and Y are 22–555 mm/min; Z axis uses an electric lift (specified as electric feed).
The X and Y table motions are driven by gear drive automatic feed (gear-driven and gear-ground for durability). The Z axis is driven by an electric lift mechanism.
The milling head has a full 360° swivel range, allowing the spindle/head to rotate and be set at essentially any angle for complex machining.
For the X6436: overall dimensions ~2550×2050×2050 mm, weight ~2580 kg, table size 1500×360 mm, and table travel X=1000 mm, Y=320 mm, Z=450 mm.
Key durability features include heat-treated high-hardness rail surfaces, gear-ground gearing, high-frequency quenching of critical components for long life, and low-noise operation. The machine is designed with a balanced, symmetrical layout.
Per the specification sheet: spindle motor power is approximately 4 kW for the X6436 (vertical/horizontal modes), and the feed motor power is about 1.1 kW. For required supply voltage and electrical details, contact the supplier as those vary by region.
Typical applications include machining flat and inclined planes, grooves, holes and small complex parts; mold shell machining; fixtures; and component work in mechanical manufacturing, mold making, instrumentation, automotive and motorcycle parts production.
Common accessories include workholding fixtures, vises, rotary or indexing tables, coolant systems, various cutter holders/adapters and customized attachments to mount specific tooling. The machine also accepts attachments to fit different cutter shank types.
Regularly clean ways and surfaces, keep gears lubricated per the manufacturer's schedule, inspect and tighten fasteners, check belt/drives and electrical connections, maintain coolant and filtration systems (if fitted), and perform periodic alignment checks of the spindle and table.
Use proper guarding and shields for rotating tools, ensure emergency stop functions are operable, wear appropriate PPE, verify workpieces are securely clamped before machining, follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance, and ensure operators are trained on swivel-head operation and safe milling practices.
