The DJ DJSXJ-IIa is a Class IIS surgical camera system designed for high-resolution imaging in minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, diagnostic imaging and other surgical applications that require precise visualisation.
The camera uses a 1/1.9" Sony IMX185 CMOS sensor with a unit cell size of 3.7 μm × 3.7 μm, effective pixels of 1920 (H) × 1080 (V) and a quoted resolution of 1000 TVL.
1920×1080 describes the digital pixel count (Full HD). TVL (TV lines) is an analog-style measure of horizontal detail resolution; a 1000 TVL rating indicates very high horizontal detail performance. Both metrics together indicate the camera delivers high-definition digital imaging with strong analog-style detail.
The system supports average, peak and area photometry modes and offers both auto and manual exposure control. The electronic shutter range is adjustable from 1/50 to 1/4000 to adapt to different lighting conditions.
The illumination reference (color temperature) covers approximately 3000K–8000K to match different light sources. Minimum sensitivity is specified as 20 lx at F1.4, making it suitable for well-lit endoscopic/arthroscopic procedures.
The camera head has an IPX7 waterproof rating (protection against temporary immersion up to 1 m for 30 minutes). This makes it resistant to fluids encountered in OR settings; however, for approved sterilisation and cleaning methods (eg. high-temperature autoclave, chemical sterilants, low‑temperature systems) follow the manufacturer's specific cleaning and sterilisation instructions and your hospital's infection control protocols.
The camera uses a standard C-mount lens interface, allowing use of C-mount lenses and endoscopic couplers compatible with C-mount. Choose lenses/couplers that match your endoscope and desired field of view; consult your supplier for recommended lens models.
Integration depends on the tower/capture system interfaces. The DJSXJ-IIa provides a C-mount optical interface; video/data output and cable types vary by tower. Contact the tower manufacturer or DJ supplier to confirm required video interfaces, capture cards, and connector/cable options for your system.
The unit is constructed from metal, plastic, glass, PCBA and PVC components. The camera system is electrically powered. The product origin is Hunan, China.
The camera is classified as Class IIS (surgical) and carries TUV quality certification. The product listing shows no additional safety standard specified; verify local regulatory requirements for clinical use in your region before deployment.
The product listing indicates a shelf life of 2 years. For storage, keep the unit in its original packaging in a clean, dry environment at temperatures and humidity levels recommended by the manufacturer—contact DJ for specific storage temperature and humidity ranges.
The camera supports progressive scanning and selectable image gamma settings (0.45, 0.55, 0.65, 0.75). These settings let you tailor contrast and brightness for optimal surgical imaging.
Check focus and C-mount lens seating, confirm illumination source and colour temperature, verify exposure and gamma settings, and inspect the endoscope optics and cable connections. If problems persist, contact your equipment supplier or DJ technical support for troubleshooting and service recommendations.
